My interest in sports began at an early age and was strengthened through years of playing football from middle school through high school. Those experiences taught me the value of teamwork, preparation, and leadership while inspiring me to pursue a career covering the games and stories that bring people together.

While attending Jacksonville State University, I created and hosted my own radio show, Tackle Talk, for three years. The program began as a 15-minute campus segment called Cock Talk, where I highlighted university events and student life. As my experience and audience grew, I expanded the show into a one-hour sports talk program featuring football, basketball, and other major sporting events. I provided game recaps, previews of upcoming matchups, player and team analysis, and commentary on breaking sports news, including trades, injuries, and league developments. Hosting Tackle Talk strengthened my skills as an on-air personality while allowing me to develop my own voice and style as a broadcaster.

My professional experience continued through an internship at WVOK 97.9 FM, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in commercial radio broadcasting. I operated the control board for multiple live programs, produced and edited commercials and promotional content using Adobe Audition, managed programming through Premiere Networks automation software, and assisted with traffic and programming operations. I also supported live remote broadcasts, including Oxford Freedom Fest, utilizing Tieline technology to deliver seamless, high-quality audio from remote locations.

My education and professional experiences have provided me with a well-rounded technical background in broadcast media. Through coursework in television production, video production, and audio production, I developed proficiency in operating broadcast cameras, directing television productions, running audio boards, and producing high-quality multimedia content. I also gained extensive experience editing audio and video by balancing sound levels, removing unwanted noise, creating smooth transitions, and assembling compelling visual stories using industry-standard production techniques.

Today, I continue building on those experiences as I pursue opportunities in radio broadcasting, sports media, and digital content creation. I am passionate about informing, entertaining, and connecting with audiences through engaging storytelling and creative media production. With a strong work ethic, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous growth, I look forward to contributing to innovative media organizations while making a lasting impact in the broadcasting industry.
