NFL Quarterback

Lammer Jackson want to the Nfl

Lamar Jackson is a football athlete. He plays in the NFL as a quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson was born on January 7, 1997, in Pompano Beach, Florida. In 2005, his father passed away on the same day as one of his grandmothers, leaving his mother to raise four children on her own. Lamar Jackson attended Santalales Community High School in Lantana, Florida, where he began playing football during his freshman and sophomore years. He later transferred to Boynton Beach Community High School in Boynton Beach, Florida. By the spring of 2013, he became the starting quarterback. During his junior and senior seasons, he threw for 2,263 yards and 31 touchdowns and rushed for more than 1,624 yards with 22 rushing touchdowns. Coming out of high school, Lamar Jackson was recruited by several college football programs, including Auburn University, Ohio State University, and Florida State University. However, he did not choose any of those schools. Instead, he decided to attend the University of Louisville and play for the Cardinals because Coach Bobby Petrino promised that he would play quarterback and not be moved to another position.

In his first year at Louisville, Jackson threw for 1,840 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions while rushing for 960 yards and 11 touchdowns. He led the Cardinals to an 8–5 record and a bowl game victory over Texas A&M University in the Music City Bowl, where he was named the game’s MVP. In his second year, Jackson threw for 3,543 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions and rushed for 1,571 yards and 21 touchdowns. The Cardinals finished with a 9–4 record, and Jackson won the Heisman Trophy, becoming the first Louisville player ever to win that award. In his third year, the Louisville Cardinals slightly regressed, finishing 8–5. Jackson threw for 3,660 yards and 27 touchdowns and rushed for 1,601 yards and 18 touchdowns. After finishing third in Heisman Trophy voting that year, he announced that he would enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

Jackson was selected as the 32nd overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens. At the beginning of his rookie season, he served as the backup quarterback to Joe Flacco. When Flacco suffered a hip injury in November 2018, Jackson started his first NFL game, throwing for 150 yards and rushing for 119 yards in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson started for the Ravens for the rest of the 2018 season and secured a playoff spot, but they lost to the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card round.

In his second year, Jackson had an excellent season, throwing for 3,127 yards and 43 touchdowns. The Ravens finished with a 14–2 record but were upset by the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round. Nevertheless, Jackson was named the NFL MVP in just his second season and was selected to the Pro Bowl and the First-Team All-Pro. In the 2020 season, Jackson continued to play well, throwing for 2,757 yards and 26 touchdowns as the Ravens finished with an 11–5 record. In the final game of the season, Jackson surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the second time in his career. He led the Ravens to a playoff win over the Titans in the Wild Card round but lost to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. In the 2021 season, Jackson had another strong year, throwing for 3,649 yards and 18 touchdowns before suffering an ankle injury in Week 14 that caused him to miss the rest of the season. He was still selected to the Pro Bowl. In the 2022 season, Jackson started off strong but was ultimately sidelined in Week 13 with a knee ligament injury. He missed the Ravens’ playoff game, and the team lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round. During the offseason, Jackson requested a trade from the Ravens. However, in late April 2023, Jackson and the team agreed to a five-year, $260 million contract, making him the highest-paid player in the NFL at that time. At the start of the 2023 season, Jackson had an outstanding year, winning his second MVP award. The Ravens finished with a 13–4 record, defeating the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. During the 2024 season, Jackson had another great year, leading his team to a 12–5 record. The Ravens made the playoffs and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round but narrowly lost to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. That season, Jackson threw for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. He was selected as a First-Team All-Pro and finished second in MVP voting.
